June 6, 2010 – 2 years before I got MS

Dodgers Game June 6,:2010 – John Diane, Russell Burton, Patti Foulk, George Olivos with unknown Blue Man.

Life before Multiple Sclerosis was pretty good. I had no idea this uncurable disease would change the course of my life forever.

My life was on cruise control when I got MS at 43.

The Business was doing okay. I had time to build it before selling and retiring around 55. My daily routine was as follows.

I got up at 6 am.
I drove 10 miles to work.
Employees start at 7 am.
My dad would show up and we’d go to breakfast.
I would spend the day delivering product.
Dad watched the shop.
Employees left at 2:30 pm
I went to the bank and then Gordon Biersch.
I got home drunk and slept.

This was my routine for 20 years.

After I got MS I had to stop making deliveries because I lost so much strength and balance. Everything else stayed the same for 7 more years.

I sold the business one day before COVID hit. I was lucky. I don’t think it would’ve survived. It still runs today.

In 2024 I moved to a house in Glendale less than a mile from my old warehouse. It’s not cheap but I’m managing. If you want to make my life easier please donate.

I’ve got MS. I’m broke now. If you’ve got money I need a stem cell therapy thing that costs 30 grand.
